Call for Posters

Overview

All EDCC 2027 attendees are welcome to submit a poster to the EDCC 2027 Poster Session.

The poster session provides an opportunity to increase the visibility of your work, receive feedback, engage in one-to-one discussions, and connect with researchers and potential collaborators. We particularly encourage contributions that benefit from discussion and interaction beyond the regular paper sessions.

We welcome four categories of posters:

1. Posters accompanying an EDCC contribution

Posters may accompany an accepted contribution to EDCC, including:

  • Main conference papers
  • Workshop papers
  • Student Forum contributions
  • Fast Abstracts

Presenting a poster in addition to a paper provides an opportunity for more intensive one-to-one discussions without the timing constraints of the regular paper sessions. Workshop authors are particularly encouraged to present their work as a poster to increase its visibility during the conference.

2. Posters of Previously Published Work

Have you recently published an interesting paper in a journal or another conference? You are welcome to present the work as a poster at EDCC. Their purpose is to bring interesting, published work to the EDCC community and provide an opportunity for discussion and interaction.

3. Project Posters

Do you have an interesting ongoing project? You are welcome to present your project as a poster. Project posters may present the project’s objectives, methodology, achievements, prototypes, results, applications, or opportunities for collaboration.

4. Stand-alone Posters

Stand-alone posters are welcome for presenting work that is not connected to an accepted EDCC paper, including:

  • Preliminary or ongoing research
  • Emerging research ideas
  • PhD research and thesis projects

Poster Labels

To make the different types of posters clear to conference participants, each accepted poster will have a label indicating its category.

For posters associated with an EDCC contribution, the label will indicate the corresponding contribution. For example, a poster may be identified as:

  • Main Conference Paper
  • Workshop Paper
  • Student Forum
  • Fast Abstract
  • Stand-alone Research Poster
  • Previously Published Paper
  • Project Poster

This will allow attendees to quickly understand the context of each poster and help facilitate targeted discussions.

Important Dates

All posters will be subject to light reviewing. Authors are expected to submit their poster by the submission deadline.

Submission Deadline February 21st, 2027
Author Notification March 1st, 2027
Final Version Submission March 7th, 2027

Submission Instructions

Please submit your poster as a PDF file through the EasyChair platform.

In the submission form, please also indicate:

  • The category of the poster (e.g., previously published work, project).
  • If applicable, the EDCC paper, workshop paper, Student Forum contribution, or Fast Abstract associated with the poster.

General Guidelines

  • Poster format: A0, portrait, loosely based on the EDCC poster template.
  • Minimum information: Title, author name(s), affiliation, and e-mail address(es).
  • Language: English.
  • Posters are a visual medium. Please visualize your work and make your poster clear, engaging, and visually attractive.

Accepted Posters

  • The acceptance notification will include an assigned poster ID. Please place this ID clearly and visibly in the lower-right corner of your poster.
  • Authors are expected to incorporate review comments into the final poster.
  • We expect participants to bring their printed posters to the event. If this is not possible, an option to print posters on-site will be provided, with expenses covered by the authors.

Distinguished Posters

As part of the EDCC Poster Session, conference attendees will be invited to vote for the two posters they like most.

Voting may consider criteria such as:

  • Originality
  • Scientific or practical relevance
  • Clarity and conciseness
  • Visual quality and balance
  • Quality of the on-site presentation
  • Interaction and Q&A with the authors

The three posters receiving the highest number of votes will receive a Distinguished Poster Award, to be presented at the conference dinner.

We encourage you to bring your work to EDCC and share it with the community. Submit a poster and make your work visible at EDCC 2027!
